At Yard Guard, our professional holiday light service is designed to bring joy to your home, without any of the usual headaches. A Custom Christmas Light Design For Your Home

  • We want to make sure you love your design! Choose from our six color options, mix and match for your home or choose the classic style of warm white!
  • Add a wreath or garland to add more intrigue!

A Professional Installation

  • Our licensed and insured team takes care of everything from installation to take-down. Ensuring you don’t have to worry about anything!

Light Ownership

  • With Yard Guard, you own the lights. For the first year, you will pay for the light purchase and the installation cost. For the following years, you will only pay the installation cost!

Included Maintenance

  • It’s rare, but can happen that a bulb may go out or a strand may come loose. Just give our office a call and we’ll send someone out right away to fix every situation.

Takedown and Storage

  • Once the holidays are done, we carefully remove any decor on your home and store them for the next year. Ensuring they’re dried out and placed in our organized filing system will keep the integrity of your lights and decor for years to come!

Q. Why do you install Holiday/Christmas lights?

A. We truly value our staff, and it's important to us to retain our amazing team year after year. Offering Holiday Lights has been a great way to achieve that. Our team loves the work, and our customers are always thrilled to see their lights beautifully displayed by the end of service day.

Q. How much does a consultation cost?

A. We offer free consultations! Take a walk around your property with one of the team members and share your vision for your home. We’ll do everything we can to make that dream a reality.

Q. Are you insured?

A. Of course!

Q. Do I own the lights?

A. You do! With Yard Guard, once you purchase your lights, they’re yours to keep. If you ever want to put them up yourself in the future, you’re free to do so!

Q. Will you install the lights I already own?

A. As much as we love your icicle lighting, we won’t install it. In order to ensure the safety of your home and our staff, we need to be confident about where the lights have been and how they've been handled!

Q. Can I store the lights and you continue to put them up every year?

A. We ask our customers to store their lights with us each year for a few key reasons. First, it allows us to control who and what has access to the lights (no risk of mice damage!). Second, it helps us prepare for the upcoming season by stocking our Yard Guard sleighs with the right décor. Lastly, holiday lights need to be kept at a specific temperature before installation to prevent cracking, and we want to ensure we’re responsible for that process!

Q. What should I expect Holiday Lighting to cost?

A. Our holiday light installation starts at $700! Since everything is custom to your home, just give us a call and we’ll get you a custom quote!

Q. Do you charge me for maintenance?

A. There is no charge for regular maintenance and upkeep!

Q. When do you take the lights down?

A. We aim to take your lights down as soon as possible after New Year’s Day, but please note that this is dependent on the weather.

Q. Why should I use Yard Guard?

Q. How do I pay?

A. If it’s your first time with us, you'll pay for your initial light purchase at the time of sign-up. After that, your card will remain on file and will be charged for the final installation amount once the lights are up. For returning customers, we will simply charge the card on file after the final installation.

Q. Can I schedule my date for the lights to go up and come down?

A. We hang lights from November 1st until the week before Christmas. Returning customers receive early scheduling, while new customers will be added to the schedule afterward. Due to Montana's unpredictable weather, we ask that you keep your scheduled date to avoid delays from snowstorms that could impact installation.

Q. Do I need to be home for the light installation?

A. Not at all! Many of our customers either work during the day and return to see their lights, or take their family on a small trip and come back in the evening to surprise them with their newly lit home. The only thing we might need access to is your outside outlet switch if it’s turned off.
